From a practical point of view this is a really good AD. No handling is required below two tons, Avgas is available and one can easily walk over from the parking stands to a staffed security gate. It’s a rather busy regional airport and rental cars are readily available at affordable rates. The location of the AD with green mountains to the east and the Atlantic to the west is beautiful and makes for nice approaches. Unfortunately fees are rather high. We paid 90€ for landing and three days parking with our Mooney.

The control tower is now operated remotely what seems to cause some glitches. When we requested taxi for a VFR departure, we were initially asked if we could change our fpl to IFR. We replied that we could not do that but if the ATCO would do that for us we had no issues. He told us to standby but after a few minutes we received our VFR clearance.

Vigo is not Spain’s most beautiful or interesting city but Galicia is spectacular in nice weather (not that frequently found, though).

Acceptable AENA airport, no handling required. Unfortunately there is no AVGAS available. We paid 60€ for landing and two days parking with a Mooney. You have to leave and return via the huge new terminal which is completely deserted as there are no commercial flights.
You’re probably best off calling a taxi to town, but you could also walk to the nearby village from where there are buses.
The city of León is beautiful and well worth a visit.

PPR requests are answered quickly. Avgas available. There are good UBER connections into the city. The rest is as described.

Nice airfield right by the beach, with several hotels a 10-minute walk away. The approach is fairly straightforward, and radio communication is also possible in English. No PPR required. Caution: lots of parachuting activity. The airfield manager is friendly, but you need to understand his sense of humour.

Landed at ELLX on 16.10., having requested PPR from BAC beforehand. The email with the number for field 18 arrived immediately. Very friendly staff at the GA terminal. Great, elegant lounge. IFR arrival and departure were completely straightforward. Total costs, including the handling fee, landing and take-off fees and arranging the PPR, were 248,28 Euro, so quite moderate.

Convenient fuel/lunch stop smack in the centre of France. Douane PN for extra-Schengen, nothing for Intra-Schengen. IFR/VFR, friendly ATC, huge runway, some airliners parked on the field quite a view. Avgas pump, JET-A1 truck, credit cards accepted, reasonable prices, no landing fees < 2 tons. Multiple inexpensive hotels walking distance. The friendly office staff pointed us to restaurant L'Escale 20 min walk down the road. No afternoon break, great food, moderate prices, quite busy with very nice truck stop vibes. They even offer îles flottantes as desert - this lunch experience by itself made LFLX a perfect stopover destination, well worth the time spent there!

Family owned airfield, PPR (call Francesco). Easy-going. Runway quality equals asphalt. Modern hangars (40€) for overnight stay. PPR. 100LL for 3,30€/L. Taxi to city 15 min. Most notable: Lecce has a very beautiful historic center, with extraordinary flair and vibrant nightlife. Perfect stopover to spend a night or even entire day. Recommended hotel: Tivoli right in historic city centre.

In addition to 100LL now Swift100R unleaded avgas available; similarly priced. Pump abeam TWY B. Capricious card reader - neither Maestro nor Mastercard worked - but the airport crew was very helpful so I could pay at the GAT. Posh lounge there with Wifi, free cold drinks and cappuccino etc. There‘s hope that the restaurant (with large airside windows and terrace) will re-open „soon“. Very welcoming TWR and ground staff all around!

I agree with Gunter's comments. I generally avoid this airfield, especially since it is in the middle of nowhere, but very occasionally I end up here. At least the approach is free of obstacles and the runway is large. On this occasion, I too had no problem with the airfield operations manager, but with this particular manager, who is mainly on duty on weekdays, it is like this: one wrong word on the radio and you often get a lecture, etc. That is another reason why this airfield would be an ideal candidate for flying without an airfield operations manager. No, that is not available here at all. The two bridges between the runway ("Nordbrücke" and "Südbrücke") are somewhat unusual, but ultimately not a problem even with fairly low prop clearance, provided you are a little careful. As at many other airfields, there are unfortunately rather few asphalt areas here too. As a visitor, you are almost always sent onto the grass first. You then have to pray that you can get a spot somewhere on asphalt. If that matters, it is best to call beforehand and clarify it. There simply is not a pleasant atmosphere at the airfield. Only the restaurant "Bordküche" is good, because there is still a "proper" chef here. Avgas 100LL at absolutely astronomical prices (currently 3,90€)! You are supposed to pay the fees only via Aerops, without visiting the C-Office; not a problem for me, but overall it is not welcoming. Verdict: really not very attractive. If you want to go to Bad Nauheim or Friedberg, it is a passable option. There is also App2Drive at the airfield. However, there is quite a lot of fog in the winter half of the year. Unfortunately, the airfield does not seem to have made any effort for years to establish an IFR approach (and departure); a pity, because the region urgently needs an airfield usable under IFR. The runway would probably already be largely IFR-capable, and it should actually be possible to design procedures that do not interfere with EDDF either... Well, perhaps the surrounding municipalities would be up in arms... or perhaps the companies at the airfield are against it too...

The airfield is very close to the city and GA friendly. A PPR is required, but you will get it. Avgas 100LL available, too. New handling agent (Alpha Handling) available, pay by card at the aircraft, very responsive and professional service.

Very friendly and helpful. During the IFR approach, ATC disagreed with the airfield operations manager about which runway to use. This spared us the circling approach, but we were then definitely too high for the approach to runway 27. Thanks to VFR conditions, however, it was not a problem in the end. The landing fee and approach fees came to 159,34 € (MTOW 2880kg). Refuelling with the air BP Sterlincard was no problem; the price per litre was 3,73 €.

Wonderful public airfield south of Würzburg, especially on weekdays. Suitable for IFR training, circuit training and also for visiting the region. You just need to pay a little attention to the opening hours, and if you want to arrive or depart under IFR, you need to bear in mind that this is only possible with PPR at weekends and may not always be possible to arrange even then. On weekdays, however, you can arrive under IFR without any PPR whatsoever (only if you want to make MULTIPLE approaches do you need to obtain PPR from Langen ATC; for just one approach, you do not need that either).
The airfield also has reasonable landing fees, and there is no separate approach fee. On top of that, it has pretty much the lowest Avgas prices in all of southern Germany. Currently 2,70 Euro for 100LL (the current price is always shown very reliably on the website www.edqg.de). JetA-1 is of course also available, likewise at a fairly low price. In addition, there is consistently friendly refuelling service, so you do not even get your hands dirty. The airfield manager also lends a hand himself and is very friendly. A taxi can surely be arranged too, though the trip to Würzburg will certainly cost a few Euro. If you visit frequently, you should set up an account (this is done immediately without any objections); then you do not need to take care of anything at all on site, and fuel stops are possible in 20 minutes.

The slot request is at the bottom of https://mostar-airport.ba/en/home/business/technical-information/. No further PPR for customs etc. is needed. The reply usually comes promptly; the airport may adjust the arrival/departure time to avoid conflicts with scheduled commercial traffic.

The approach is non-radar, and the airport is located in a valley. The various IAPs lead towards the runway at an angle, in some cases followed by a recommended visual track. Apparently, only one aircraft may be on the procedure in the valley at any given time, so be prepared for a short hold. For departures, check the SIDs for the required climb gradient. Overall, ATC are very accommodating.

The ground staff are extremely friendly and efficient. Especially on departure, security, passport control and payment were all completed in well under 10 minutes.

Mostar is a very interesting tourist destination, but during the day the old town can be quite crowded with day-trippers. It becomes considerably quieter in the evening.

Fees for 1315 kg: Landing EUR 14, Handling EUR 15, Parking/night EUR 20.
The ground staff offer a shuttle service to town for EUR 40 round trip.

The level of service is being scaled back further. For some time now, there has been no administrative or refuelling staff at weekends (and even on weekdays, their hours are rather limited).

Now the ATS services are also being scaled back: in the medium term, there will no longer be a TWR, only AFIS; but that too will, of course, have limited operating hours. There is currently a transition phase in which TWR is provided at some times, AFIS at others, and no ATS at all at others. In the latter case, you can still take off and land, but then—as always in France—only using Air/Air radio, and only in French. Certain restrictions then also apply to IFR flights. Overall, the NOTAMs concerning service hours are somewhat confusing.

Avgas and Jet (you should have a BP-Card because of the limited service hours) are also somewhat more expensive than in Germany.

So here too, everything is heading towards "self-service". A pity, but savings have to be made everywhere, and there is a staff shortage.

I was out in the beautiful Donauries on a Sunday in September 2026, with a flight over the Ipf. The Ipf is a cone-shaped residual hill with a plateau. Nearby is the beautiful medieval town of Nördlingen, with the airfield to the east. A really lovely little airfield. The runway is relatively narrow and has a displaced threshold, but everything is well maintained and the people are very friendly. The club café was open, serving coffee and cake.
Caution is advised with wind from the east, as there are tall trees very close to the runway, causing gusts.
Landing fee up to 1100 kg with noise abatement: 10 €. Fuel is available at the airfield, but prices are currently high.

Day visit on 29 September: For landing and handling of an SR 22 with 2 pax, approx. € 141 (same-day departure). The GAT can also arrange for a taxi to be ordered for you. Slot time for arrival and departure is mandatory. Easy to arrange via the previously mentioned phone number.

Nice uncontrolled airfield. Asphalt runway and taxiway in great condition.Watch out for nearby Bologna CTR (LIPE). Approach is flown in 1500 feet and departure in 100 feet. There is instruction video at the website: https://www.flyozzano.com/en/location/
Radio coms are really good for Italian circumstances. Be prepared for lot of flight school traffic (7 days a week on 363 days a year I was told) and keep in mind that they are students. Act accordingly.Self service fuel station with Mogas and Avgas 100LL. Transaction limit using credit card is limited to 100 EUR per transaction. So be prepared to swipe your card more often. :-)Mogas on 26.09.2026 was quite expensive at 2,65 EUR per liter.

Restaurant for lunch was really good. Unfortunately the famous pool was closed during our stay.

Great uncontrolled airfield for lunch and fuel stop. Approx. 1200 m gras strip is in perfect condition. Approach to each runway side is easy. Radio coms for Italian circumstances are very good and friendly.

Mogas on 29.09.2026 was at 2,31 EUR per liter. No landing fee if you take fuel.Do not forget to write down your flight details (landing time. departure time etc.) in the book at C office. It is self service and you find it on the counter desk.
Restaurant has great Italian food with a very friendly service. Even during lunch they will serve great steaks.

Went to unctrolled LIAL on short notice and requested PPR via Whatsapp. Marco (the host) replied within minutes. Marco is a GA enthuiast and picked us up at the airfield. We stayed at his Agriturismo for 1 night. Which is 3 minutes by car oder 10 minutes by foot.
Agriturismo is beautiful restored with several apartments and a pool. Each apartment can host several people.
Marco provides dinner which was really amazing. He is a great cook.

Approach is quite demanding. Gras strip is long (approx. 900m) but is divided by a small dirt track (which you can easily roll over) in the middle. But I was not prepared for it and it created a illusion in my head that the strip seemed shorter than I thought on short final. :-)
If you land on 04 keep right on the runway and landing on 22 keep left. Less bumby and strip is in a better conditon.
No landing fee. No fuel but Marco probably can organize some fuel if requested.

Regarding parking, they were worried upon extending a stay, that the parking is full. Truth is, max 50% of the parking area was used while I was there. But they were very friendly on the phone and rearranged and found a solution.

Security seems easier (again): for private GA, no (extended) security screening is necessary. They just take and bring you to your aircraft.

One of the 24/7 airports in Germany which truly like and support General Aviation.

Landed with a C-172, paid 15EUR for a quick turnaround and everything went absolutely hassle-free.

The tower is truly supportive and the pilot facilities decent.

Great GA Airfield, especially for VFRN Practice.

With a C-172, I paid less than 9EUR per Touch & Go or Landing. The tower was very friendly and accommodating, I parked straight in front of the GAT.

For payment of your landing fees, follow the sign “C” and don’t exit via the GAT as you’d otherwise leave the airside and have to walk through security again.

There are pretty decent pilot facilities available with e.g. a fussball table and a snack vending machine (which comes in particularly handy when the rest of the airport is more or less closed at night).

After landing ground provided us with Taxi instructions to ACM instead of GAT.
For for an overnight we had a bill of 400 euro+ that was quite unexpected.

Very well-maintained aerodrome in the impressive Valle Riviera. Home to RUAG with PC-6 and PC-7 maintenance. Since 2023, the military aerodrome LSML has received civil certification and the new ICAO identifier LSPR, and is now also open to visiting pilots on a PPR basis.

Our visit took place during the "Riviera Fly-In", with about 50 visiting aircraft and a RUAG tour. Friendly AFIS tower and ground marshallers. Due to the event, no landing fees were charged; instead there were various free souvenirs for all pilots participating in the fly-in - similar to the nearby Ambri Fly-In - as well as a donation box. Absolutely excellently organized, with a great BBQ.

On a regular basis, there is a staff restaurant on the RUAG premises and a snack bar/pizzeria on the southwest side of the aerodrome, "Helibar", reachable via a separate grass taxiway. Another pizzeria and the bus stop "Cresciano, Stazione" are on the eastern side of the river, a 10-minute walk away. Ideal for local excursions and culinary variety.
