Lannion Airport (LFRO)

by Stephan2026-09-08 07:25:21 UTC

We stopped at LFRO for three days. Landing fee for a Mooney M20J was 10,80€ and parking for the approximately 3 days 44,22€. Fuel is available with Total Card 24/7 or by credit card during operating hours.

Weather can be shaky in Brittany, so we went in an out IFR which was nice and easy with "Landi Approach".

When using the airport outside of the operating hours, you need a code for the doors and that code is labeled to the back of a cover at the door leading out from the airside.

In the short final of runway 29 there is a large E.Leclerc supermarket (10 Minutes walking distance) and they also rent cars. Unfortunately we were not able to reserve a car through their very weird online service and once we presented ourselves at the service desk no car was available. At the southwest corner of the airport (another 10 Minutes walking...) is a Europcar office. We rented a car there but only after waiting for two hours for the Europcar staff to arrive - despite having regular office hours at the time!

Lannion and the coastline are stunningly beautiful.

Noerdlingen Airport (EDNO)

by Markus2026-09-07 18:43:23 UTC

Flew on a Sunday in September in the beautiful Donauries with an overflight of the Ipf. The Ipf is a conical hill with a plateau. Nearby is the lovely medieval town of Nördlingen, and to the east the airfield—really a nice little field. The runway is relatively narrow with a displaced threshold. Everything is well maintained, and the people are very friendly. The club café was open, serving coffee and cake. Use caution with southerly winds due to the forest and gusts. Landing fee up to 1100 kg with noise certificate: €10. Fuel is available on the field but is currently pricey.

Very friendly and helpful staff, great IFR infrastructure. AAS as local shop is always willing to support stranded pilots with AOG on short notice.

F-34 is available but requires prior documentation with OPS (done for PT6-21).

San Luis Airport (LESL)

by Rolf2026-09-07 13:31:56 UTC

Visited LESL in September. 100 EUR for 1 week (parking and landing).

Unfortunately no fuel for visitors. We planned on refueling at LEMH but decided against it as the process is VERY cumbersome (see entry at LEMH). If you still need to refuel at LEMH, the below information might be helpful:

For anyone still planning a fuel stop at LEMH, the following may be helpful:

Even VFR arrivals require a slot. This must be requested in advance via MAH CEPO SERVICIO at mahcepo@aena.es. A flight plan is also required, even for the very short sector LESL–LEMH.

During the main season, slot availability can be limited despite relatively low traffic levels, so early coordination is advisable.

For a fuel-only stop, handling is not required as long as the aircraft is not left unattended / the occupants remain with the aircraft. Fuel can be requested once on the ground by phone at +34 699 489 363.

Landing fees need to be paid online on the ground. First, contact +34 971 157138 to obtain your fees, then online complete the payment via https://www.aena.es/sites/Satellite?Language=en_GB&d=Touch&pagename=TPV_Pagos_Aeropuertos, before leaving the airport.

Menorca Airport (LEMH)

We initially planned to use LEMH for a fuel stop when flying in from LESL. However, the advance coordination proved rather cumbersome, and we ultimately decided to refuel in France on the return trip instead.

Mallorca/Son Bonet Airport (LESB)

by Rolf2026-09-07 13:06:53 UTC

Visited LESB twice in 2026, in May and August.

Parking costs for our aircraft (1,960 kg MTOW, 2 pax) were approximately €540 per week. One useful tip: after paying in August, we were told that a monthly parking rate of around €270 is available if booked in advance — definitely worth asking about before arrival.

Proof of the mandatory familiarization is essential and was checked during our August visit. Contact lesb.ops@aena.es in advance for access and details.

Fuel is available, but allow plenty of time. Refueling can easily take around one hour even without additional delays, so this should be factored into your departure planning.

On busy days, factor in delays of 15-30 min to fit into the flight school traffic pattern on depature.

Mainbullau Airport (EDFU)

by Philipp2026-09-07 06:51:09 UTC

In summer 2026 I was there two more times, mainly for refueling. Always friendly; always a pleasure. 100LL has of course become more expensive since February; currently at 2,59€ but still quite good. Prices are always up to date at https://www.edfu.de/. You even get help with refueling. I always land on RWY 23 and depart on RWY 05. Food at the Fliegerei is always good and pleasant.

Since early 2026 they’ve had aggressive fuel pricing; in particular 100LL at 2,19€ is very well priced! In winter, however, the field is officially PPR even on weekends. That’s handled a bit awkwardly via a request through Vereinsflieger (of course you can also just call on the radio to see if someone is there, but if you want to be sure in advance, it’s done in writing). The runway is, as is well known, not very long, quite narrow, and rises noticeably toward 23. With heavy/fast aircraft, landing on RWY 05 is critical (hence northeasterly weather patterns are an issue) or, at the very least, it puts a lot of wear on brakes and tires. But most of the time you can take RWY 23 and hardly need to brake at all. For refueling the Flugleiter comes out. Very friendly. The hose is very short, so you generally have to park nose-in to the pump. As is known, EDFU has little to almost no hardstand on asphalt and the grass area is often soft, especially in the off-season. But a solution is always found. Payment for fuel and the landing fee (13 Euro for 1.2 to 2 tonnes) is in the tower. If it’s just about the landing fee, aerops also works. There is an electric tricycle available free of charge to ride down to Miltenberg. The restaurant remains one of the better airport eateries (note: closed from mid-February to mid-March). Departure can usually also be downhill on RWY 05. From March 2026 there will apparently be new FoB rules at the field, but an operations manager will likely still be required for refueling. Five stars for friendliness, service, the beautiful scenery and the fuel prices.

Jesenwang Airport (EDMJ)

by Markus2026-09-06 20:59:50 UTC

Back in Jesenwang after a long time. On weekdays there was plenty of training traffic and a friendly tower operator on frequency, who also operates the traffic light. After two circuits we continued the flight. On weekends, the restaurant with a terrace is open and busy.

Herrenteich Airport (EDEH)

by Gunter2026-09-06 16:48:23 UTC

Nice little gras strip that can be a bit bumpy, though. Landing fee seems to be 10€ regardless of MOTM. The field is actually PPR, but when they are there, you can just give them a radio call.
An outdoor restaurant (not sure about the opening hours) serves food and drinks and offers a perfect view of what’s going on. Otherwise, besides a stroll along the river, there’s nothing to do. Another good destination on a sunny weekend afternoon.

Belle Ile Airport (LFEA)

by Stephan2026-09-06 08:40:10 UTC

We have been to LFEA for 5 days. Beautiful destination and very friendly people at the airfield. We paid 11€ landing fee for a Mooney M20J and 5,6€ per day of parking. Avgas 100LL was 2.98€ per litre, we could pay everything by credit card.

The ground transportation is an issue. Taxis are not available on short notice and in the „middle season“ the buses don‘t run very often.

Don‘t be intimidated by the runnway length. We parked next to a TBM940. Runway is in excellent condition and with some headwind we didn‘t use much more that half of it on landing and takeoff.

We stayed in the mentioned „Le Cardinal“, which was fine in the mild September climate but beware there is no air conditioning and on hot summer days that might be an issue.

Don‘t miss the „Plage de Donnant“, nicely reachable by a rented e-bike.

Pasewalk Airport (EDCV)

by Friedrich2026-09-05 21:24:29 UTC

Flying without Flugleiter. Information on the website ueckerfalken.de is somewhat sparse in this regard. If nobody is on the field, just land. Look up the landing fee online and pay by bank transfer. Send a brief landing report by email to the club (email address on the website). Landing fee for SR22: €8.50.

There are many gliders on the field, including a Polish club. They have some difficulty with German R/T; English should work.

Bornholm/Rønne Airport (EKRN)

by Leon2026-09-04 22:16:18 UTC

The airportstaff as well the Tower people are really helpfull. However, the ground crew especially regarding fuel (Jet A1) is complicated. You need a Shell card or a fuel release, otherwise you will not be able to get any fuel. As of August 2026 there is no more AVGAS.
Easy selfervice payment of the landing fee inside the terminal!

Læsø Airport (EKLS)

by Leon2026-09-04 22:13:48 UTC

Really relaxed airfield. All calls are transmitted blind. There is a small hut where you can pay your landing fee (CASH EUR / DKK or via Bank transfer). Parking is on grass and can host aproximetly 6-7 normal sized GA Aircrafts. There is only 1 real taxi on the island so you might need to wait. If the weather is good you can also pick some bikes (for free) to ride to the city.

Bergen/Flesland Airport (ENBR)

Easy and friendly GA Aiport. Jet-Fuel is self service with AirBP. For IFR you need to coordinate at Slot inbound and outbound. However, if you arrive VFR and leave VFR (Z and Y plans) you are good to go.

Easy enough to book in.
Runway 25 has has a huge stack of hay bales on approach with a white tarp -- very disconcerting, downwards slope.
Parking easy. Nice museum, 30 mins by Uber to Thorpe Abbott.
£12 to land.

Praha/Ruzyně Airport (LKPR)

by Jeroen2026-08-31 06:58:59 UTC

Saturday 29 August, arrived direct from Rotterdam in an SR 22. The airfield is PPR via one of the handlers. We chose Bell. Cheaper than czechazirlines handling. Nice GA terminal. Handling and parking approx. € 122,--; airport charges approx. € 112,--. Total approx. € 234,--. After landing on runway 24 it’s a long taxi to the GA apron. Refueling is taken care of while you’re off-airport. Before departure, in line with your flight plan, you must request slot coordination via the handler.

Paderborn/Lippstadt Airport (EDLP)

by Jeroen2026-08-31 06:43:59 UTC

Sunday 30 August, with an SR22 (MTOW 1542 kg) and 2 passengers, made a fuel stop on the way back from Prague. Landing fee €17.14. Avgas can be paid with a BP card to the fuel truck driver; otherwise you can pay inside with a credit card. The field has an ILS (glideslope out of service at the time) as well as an RNP approach. The aerodrome is open 24 hours a day. Professional, courteous ATC. There are 3 restaurants around the airport. It’s advisable to notify in advance if you plan to eat. Officially they were open on Sunday until 20:00, but on that day they decided to close the kitchen earlier because it was relatively quiet.

Allendorf/Eder Airport (EDFQ)

by Gunter2026-08-30 19:50:14 UTC

No PPR for VFR in summer except on Mondays. IFR is PPR year round. Landing fees are very reasonable.
Allendorf is in walking distance but there is nothing there to see or do. Most people will probably come for the very well regarded and friendly shop at the field.
A radio operator is currently required even for VFR but the guys at the shop can do that if you come for maintenance outside AD opening hours but within their business hours. They are nice and will probably help out even if you come for another reason (don’t really know what that might be here).

Maribor/Orehova Vas Airport (LJMB)

by Thomas2026-08-30 13:35:34 UTC

It's just a great place. I really enjoy coming here to practice, do approaches, and so on. They also have a very reasonable rate for that. Sometimes there are quite a few planes here at the same time for practice.
The tower always asks you which programme you'd like to fly.
Everyone is very friendly.
A training fee for a PA46 costs €42.60.

Annecy Meythet Airport (LFLP)

by Philipp2026-08-30 12:36:11 UTC

After many years, flew to Annecy again. Preliminarily: the AIP/VAC states that (ALL) international flights require 24h PN. But if you ask, you’re told this does not apply to flights to or from, e.g., Germany (EU+Schengen). Great; please clarify your AIP/VAC entry! Also: if you want to fly here IFR coming from the northeast, unfortunately—at least as per flight plan—you have to climb to FL130/140, even though there are no particularly high mountains on that route. That makes it pretty impractical for most. So VFR; skirting just south of Lake Geneva works quite well (max FL85 possible on the PEL–SUVEL segment), provided there are no clouds in the way. Geneva Info kept me for quite a while; handover to Annecy Tower rather late. Initial radio contact with TWR was quite poor. They always strive to arrange approaches with minimal noise. Sometimes still a lot of traffic. For refueling, at row 6 turn off from taxiway Tango and then approach the fuel station from the northeast. Classic TOTAL fuel station. Currently 100LL with TOTAL-Card here is painfully expensive (€3.12/l) and thus a bit pricier than at other TOTAL fields. With credit card, even more expensive! By the way, there is also a pump for Aero Super+, but according to NOTAM it is currently unavailable. If you’re lucky, there may still be something available in the row of the 40s parking positions; then you can push the aircraft by hand there from the fuel station. NO tie-downs available. Then go on foot (no hi-vis required) to the Light Aircraft/Crew entrance in the small, fairly recently refurbished terminal building. This entrance leads directly to the desk where you pay the fees. Landing is really dirt cheap. Parking is EDEIS-typical a bit expensive over longer periods (there used to be somewhat cheaper grass parking, but not anymore), but if it’s only for a few hours, it’s acceptable. In total (with 6 hours of parking) and 1.5 tonnes I paid only about €20, which is of course unbeatable. There is currently no restaurant; on inquiry they say a new operator is being sought, but none has been found yet. There is a bus connection (except Sundays) with line 11, but it does not go all the way into the city; you have to change. Not worth it, since an UBER costs just under €20. Annecy itself has some lovely spots and the setting is fantastic. Unfortunately, at least on summer weekends the city is completely overrun by tourists. It’s really bad around the Palais de L'Isle; crowds from all over the world taking photos and consuming rather poor food. Accordingly, hotel rooms are very expensive on summer weekends. So this destination doesn’t 100% do it for me; I prefer to fly to LFLB and enjoy the Lac du Bourget and, if applicable, the city of Chambéry.
