Civil Airfield Reichenbach (LSGR)

PPR is required and must be requested online via the airport website; approval is typically sent by email. Operations are subject to noise abatement procedures, with a strict start prohibition from 12:00–13:00 LT and during church services (usually every second Sunday 10:00–11:00 LT and on Catholic holidays); check the website for exact dates. Additional restrictions apply during funerals, which are announced online. The circuit pattern is unusual and should be studied carefully for noise protection. Preferred runway use is takeoff on 22 and landing on 04; monitor traffic and windsock closely due to active parachuting.

Landing fees are paid in cash using an envelope system; bring small change. Example: landing fee about CHF 31, overnight parking about CHF 10. Parking is available under trees for shade, with guest spaces clearly marked. Avgas and Jet Fuel are available when staff are present. Toilets may be accessed via the C-office or near the hangar, though they can be locked if unattended.

A small café operates in a wooden hut during good weather and busy periods; there is no full restaurant, but a briefing room with Wi-Fi is available. A bus stop with direct connections to Reichenbach or Frutigen train stations is within about five minutes’ walk.

The taxiway S to runway 04 has been noted as being in poor condition, with adjacent grass not always mowed. The airfield sits in a scenic but somewhat demanding valley location; careful preflight planning is advised. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.
