Civil Airfield Winzeln Schramberg (EDTW)

The airfield sits idyllically on a plateau in the Black Forest and offers a friendly, family atmosphere with active club operations (LSV Schwarzwald e. V.). Visiting pilots are very welcome; weekday visits are generally straightforward (PPR).

With easterly winds, and with stronger westerly winds, turbulence may occur on approach and departure. The runway is partially not visible on the downwind leg; nevertheless, please adhere to the traffic pattern as closely as possible for noise abatement. The landing fee can be paid easily—either in an envelope via the mailbox at the tower, via aerops, with the proprietor of the Italian airfield restaurant, or directly with the airfield operations manager.

The restaurant features a scenic terrace and is an ideal spot to watch flight operations against the backdrop of the Hochschwarzwald while enjoying good food.
