Civil Airfield Winzeln Schramberg (EDTW)

The aerodrome is situated on a scenic plateau in the Black Forest and has a friendly, club-style atmosphere with active club operations (LSV Schwarzwald e. V.). Visiting pilots are very welcome; even on weekdays a visit is generally straightforward (PPR).
With easterly winds and with stronger westerly winds, turbulence may be encountered on approach and departure. The runway may be partially out of sight on the downwind leg; nevertheless, adhere to the circuit as closely as possible for noise abatement. For advance familiarization, a video from the aerodrome operator is available: https://youtu.be/HbHm8S8jIAQ
The landing fee can be settled easily—either in an envelope via the mailbox at the tower, conveniently via aerops, with the proprietor of the Italian aerodrome restaurant, or directly with the aerodrome operations manager.
The restaurant features a pleasant viewing terrace and offers an ideal opportunity to watch flight operations against the picturesque backdrop of the Hochschwarzwald while enjoying good food.
Hangar space is unfortunately not available, but aircraft can usually be parked outside, even for several days. Tips on accommodation and ground transport, as well as contacts, can be found on the club’s website: https://www.lsv-schwarzwald.de.
Civil Airfield Bad Endorf/Jolling (EDPC)

A tranquil airfield in a beautiful setting.
PPR obtained promptly by phone on weekends. Further request options are available on the LSV Bad Endorf club website: https://www.luftsport-endorf.de
Nestled between meadows and pastures, the runway is quickly found with a bit of preparation. Best to orient yourself from the northeast shore of Simssee; you will then quickly spot the power lines relevant to the RWY34 approach. Vogtareuth Airfield (EDNV) is close by, so also watch for its circuit traffic.
Only MOGAS is available for refueling; AVGAS is no longer available. For departures, note the lunch break 12:00–13:00 LT. As expected, the neighborhood is noise-sensitive, so please strictly observe the noise abatement procedures.
Civil Airfield Trieben (LOGI)

Everything in Trieben is completely straightforward. One hour prior to arrival we briefly called ahead; arrival and departure were conducted with blind calls on the frequency. On the field we were warmly welcomed by a very helpful operations manager. The aircraft was refueled immediately, and we were asked how else they could assist us. Unfortunately we had to continue; next time we’ll at least stay overnight at this GA-friendly airfield. Low landing fees.
