Everything in Trieben is completely straightforward. One hour prior to arrival we briefly called ahead; arrival and departure were conducted with blind calls on the frequency. On the field we were warmly welcomed by a very helpful operations manager. The aircraft was refueled immediately, and we were asked how else they could assist us. Unfortunately we had to continue; next time we’ll at least stay overnight at this GA-friendly airfield. Low landing fees.

Flexible PPR handling by tower. Wind conditions and rotor turbulence require attention during approach and departure, especially for lower-performance aircraft. Radio contact from the north or southeast is only possible after entering the valley due to terrain. The runway is well maintained. Service is friendly and helpful.
