Civil Airfield Tortoli / Arbatax (LIET)

Spectacular approach directly over the beach. PPR required; apply via the website, which provides information on restricted areas and fees. The website is available in multiple languages, but the PayPal link does not work; advance bank transfer is necessary. PPR responses are prompt. No Avgas or Super Plus fuel available; jets are not handled. Example: landing fee about €30, parking about €30 per night. The airfield has a long runway and is described as the most affordable GA airport on Sardinia.

The airfield and facilities are in good condition following recent reopening. Fire crew is present for arrivals and departures. Hotels and resorts are located directly on the beach, with additional accommodation and a recommended restaurant within walking distance of the airfield. Europcar offers reasonably priced car hire within walking distance if booked online in advance; Uber is unavailable, taxis are rare and expensive, but Andreas (+393886576147) provides local pickup service and speaks some German. Tortoli town is less than 2 km away; Arbatax can be reached by bicycle or taxi.

Local attractions include beaches, mountain excursions, diving spots, oyster farming north of Arbatax, quad tours, and license-free motorboat rental under 40 HP to Cala Mariolu.
