Civil Airfield Vrsar Crljenka (LDPV)

LDPV offers relaxed, flexible operations with no strict PPR for VFR arrivals, though a brief WhatsApp notification to staff (often Rajko) is customary. For customs/immigration, direct Schengen arrivals and departures are generally straightforward; for non-Schengen or outside published hours, advance coordination and a fee may be required—see AIP/NOTAM. Procedures are informal: expect self-announce calls, sometimes casual radio clearances at this uncontrolled field. The VFR manual details arrival/departure procedures, but local practice is flexible. English on the radio is functional but can be patchy; staff are helpful and will assist with ground arrangements.

Runway and apron are in good condition with ample parking and tie-down ropes available. The airfield’s infrastructure is basic and visually run-down, with derelict aircraft, a defunct fuel station, and an old clubhouse; however, the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Toilets are available; camping on the field is possible. MoGas can be supplied by canister on request, but Avgas is not available. Taxi service to Vrsar (3–7 minutes) is routinely arranged by staff; expect about €20 each way. Walking to Vrsar takes 15–30 minutes through woods. Accommodation options include Pension Goran (basic), Hotel Vista (central), and Belvedere (beachside). Rovinj and Poreč are accessible by taxi (approx. €40–€50). Rent-a-boat services are widely available nearby.

Landing fees for non-commercial GA typically range from about €20 to €40, with overnight parking around €20 per night. Example: landing about €20; parking about €20 per night; combined landing plus one night about €40. Fees may be negotiable or subject to informal handling.

The approach over the Lim Fjord to runway 36 is scenic but can be challenging due to terrain, runway slope, and crosswinds—caution advised for obstacles near runway 33 threshold and undulating surface near the north end.
