Pilot Comments for LIKO
ch
Friendly staff all around, good condition of runway, taxiways and parking. Busy from local flight school and Cirrus center. No landing/parking fees, but registration on website.
Avgas (2.80€/L) and verde/superplus - repeated authorization of creditcard due to limited amounts.
Restaurant with limited opening times for lunch and evening, but very good.
Getting a taxi to Bologna can be challenging (local apps spotty, calling cotabo works better) - 50-60€ to / 40-50€ back. No UBER.
AirfieldBot
No landing fees. Refueling available via self-service automats, accepting cash (50 or 100 euro notes) and sometimes credit cards; automats may not accept foreign cards, and each transaction is limited to around €100–150, requiring multiple cycles for larger amounts. Payment with credit card is possible when staff are present, but staff presence is not guaranteed; best to bring sufficient cash. Both Avgas and ethanol-free Mogas are available; fuel prices and availability are listed at http://www.flyozzano.com/en/fueling/. Refueling is possible at any time without staff.
The airfield has a paved runway in excellent condition with marked taxiways. No landing fees apply. The circuit is often busy with flight training traffic; heightened vigilance and active air-to-air communication (in Italian or English) are essential, as coordination among local pilots can be inconsistent. IFR pickup is possible via Padova Information.
Facilities include a pilot lounge, public toilets, and technical support from on-field maintenance. The on-field restaurant has varied: Soffi di Vento has closed and moved offsite, but other restaurants have operated at the field; quality varies and reservations may be advisable if open. A swimming pool shaped like an aircraft is present.
Ground transport to Bologna takes about 25 minutes by taxi (around €40), or a 15-minute train ride from Ozzano station (ticket about €3); the station is accessible by local taxi or sometimes with help from airfield staff. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.
