I can only agree with the previous reports—the facilities on the island are at a 5-star level, but the atmosphere is not jet-set glitz; it’s characterized by a friendly, very laid-back vibe. We spent 2 nights in the hotel and used the rest of the time to enjoy the island and the excellent food. The runway was more than sufficient for our AA5B, and the bicycles were already waiting for us after landing. The drainage for the planned runway reorientation appears to be progressing well. Even after rain all night, the runway and parking areas were dry and firm in the morning.

The only downside is the pricing which, as mentioned, is quite steep—so the 50 EUR landing fee is barely worth mentioning. You have to view the value for money in relation to the significant investments and the island’s remoteness.
