Airfield with an active gliding club and friendly atmosphere. Restaurant operates on weekends with a small menu, cakes, and coffee; popular in summer. Runway 25 approach is straightforward, though the runway rises and has a slight sideways slope; actual difficulty is less than AIP suggests. Takeoff uphill requires some margin and contingency planning due to the treeline ahead. Runway and taxiway have significant bumps and undulations, challenging even for robust landing gear; caution advised when taxiing. Landing fee is discretionary, placed in a donation box in the tower.
