Nice long grass strip in the middle of nowhere, but with a solid restaurant and dedicated airfield owners. Watch for glider traffic to the north. Always worth a visit!
AirfieldBot
EDOD features a 1200 m grass runway in good condition, located at the edge of a forest south of Berlin. PPR is required and granted. The airfield is known for frequent gliding and aerobatic activity, especially on weekends, and uses a 3 km winch cable for gliders; caution is advised. Night flying is possible despite the grass surface, and there is runway lighting. The runway and taxiway can be confused on approach due to limited separation.
A family-run restaurant offers traditional cuisine, homemade ice cream, cakes, and schnitzel at moderate prices; the restaurant is closed on Mondays. The airfield is adjacent to the Flaeming skate track, attracting inline skating enthusiasts. Ground service is described as friendly and supportive.
Landing fees are low. Example: landing fee about €10. Avgas is available.
EDOD provides a welcoming environment for general aviation with good facilities for both flying and leisure activities.
