Quaint grass airfield with a somewhat quirky layout. From the apron you can’t see the hangars, the airfield pub, or the tower. To pay the landing fee you have to cross a busy country road, then go 100 m left toward the village. Relaxed, alternating operations at the field: parachutists, jump plane, aerotow, gliding, UL (ultralights), … Very friendly people on site. The kiosk ("Büdchen") right at the field inexplicably closes on Saturdays in great weather around 16:30 (loc.). The airfield pub by the hangars isn’t really a reason to visit, but it does cover the most urgent need for coffee, or ice cream from the freezer.
