LWSK requires prior permission for landing, with submission of aircraft documents (registration, airworthiness, insurance) to agramatikov@caa.gov.mk, rco.rco@mnavigation.mk, and slotcoordinationskp@tav.aero. A slot is also required but functions mainly as a planning tool; official tolerance is +/-20 minutes. ATC and ground handling are described as professional and helpful. IFR and VFR operations are both supported, but the airport is surrounded by high terrain, especially to the west; precise approach procedures are important, particularly for RWY 34.

Landing fees for aircraft up to 1.2 t MTOW are reported at about €110, payable by card. Other examples include landing and one night parking about €50–60. No General Aviation Terminal exists; pilots should announce themselves at the information desk and proceed through standard controls using the term "Pilota" for expedited processing. Immigration lines can be long unless using crew credentials or attire.

Transport options include taxi (about €20–30 to city center) and shuttle bus (about 180 dinar), with hotels such as Stonebridge and Bushi Resort recommended by pilots. The city center is accessible in 7–15 minutes by car or taxi.
