Civil Airfield Pisa / San Giusto (LIRP)

General aviation access at LIRP is subject to strict PPR requirements, with civil use limited due to the airport’s primary military status. Handling agents will provide estimates on request. No Avgas is available; Jet A1 is available without issue. Customs procedures are straightforward when arranged through the handling agent.

Taxis to the city center cost about €10–20, with travel times of 5–15 minutes depending on traffic and destination. The airport is large with significant commercial traffic, which can result in delays for VFR arrivals due to holding patterns and sequencing. IFR arrivals and departures are possible but may involve late descent clearances and circuitous routings due to airspace structure.
