Civil Airfield Ancona / Falconara (LIPY)

Handling is mandatory and arranged by emailing ops@ancona-airport.com, with prompt responses and minimum handling required. Parking is typically on Apron A or remote stands, with marshaller assistance and crew transport provided as needed. Expect to transit through the main terminal for GA processing, which can add up to 30 minutes. All major car rental agencies are located in the arrivals terminal; online booking is advised to avoid higher walk-up prices. Ancona city is 17 km from the airport.

Fees for landing and parking vary: Example: landing and four nights parking about €90; another example: landing and two days parking about €170. Handling, marshalling, and crew transport may be charged separately, with marshalling and crew transport over 100 meters about €50. Procedures for payment and security involve registering at security on departure, being escorted for payment, then returning to the aircraft. Staff are generally described as friendly and helpful, though some processes can be lengthy or complicated.

Jet A1 is available; Avgas is not officially available but may be obtainable via Aeroclub Ancona (www.aeroclubancona.com). Hangar space exists (about €50/day). No on-field aircraft rental is available; alternatives are suggested at Fano (LIDF) nearby.
