Airport Blois Le Breuil (LFOQ) IFR

LFOQ offers both VFR and IFR operations, including an LPV approach. IFR pickup is available quickly with Seine Information. The airfield is not currently a designated port of entry for Schengen arrivals, though customs is present. AFIS operates in English and French; outside AFIS hours, radio is French only. Hi-vis vests are officially required but enforcement is relaxed.

Avgas is available via self-service with credit or EC card; BP card is no longer needed. No Mogas or UL91 is typically available. Parking is on grass, with landing fees low and parking fees somewhat higher. Example: landing and two days’ parking about €60. The fire service staff are helpful with payments if needed.

A well-regarded restaurant operates on the field, but opening times vary and should be checked in advance. There is a pilot lounge with free wifi, and car rental appears to be available. Camping may be possible by prior arrangement with the gliding club.

Transport to Blois (16 km) can be by Uber (about €40) or taxi (reported fares €45–65). Uber availability may be limited, leading to possible waits. The airport provides access to local attractions such as the Loire castles and nearby towns.

Access to the field when unstaffed on weekends is via a code-locked door. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM for details.
