Montpellier Candillargues Airport (LFNG)

Candillargues (LFNG) operates without a flight information service on weekends, and radio communication is in French only. The airfield is used by fire-fighting aircraft, clubs, military helicopters, and for maintenance visits; a well-regarded avionics shop and a small restaurant, Le Looping, are located on site. Avgas is available Monday to Saturday from 8:00 to 12:30, with payment possible by cash, Eurocheque, or Visa/MasterCard; outside these hours fuel may not be available. No landing or parking fees are typically charged. Ground transport options are limited: taxis require advance arrangement and can be expensive (about €50 one way to Montpellier), while bus line 107 is accessible after a short walk from the airfield. Approaches require adherence to marked reporting points at 1000 ft and a corridor at maximum 1500 ft from the north; for RWY 33 approach is over the sea. Overflying the nearby Camargue nature reserve may require maintaining 600 ft AGL as indicated on French charts. Facilities include maintenance workshops and a pilot shop.
