Civil Airfield Ales Cevennes (LFMS)

LFMS is a quiet airfield situated in a forested area on a plateau, easily identifiable from the air. Operations are non-controlled with no flight information service; position reports are made as blind transmissions, preferably in French, though English is also used. The runway and taxiways are in good condition. No landing or parking fees apply. Avgas is available via an automated pump using a Total or AirTotal card. Facilities include toilets, a drinks vending machine, and a foosball table at the aeroclub, but the airfield is otherwise largely deserted with minimal passenger amenities. The site is fenced and locked for security. The nearest restaurant is about 300 meters on foot, and the town is further away; local taxi contact: +33 6 03 34 45 89. The airfield is suitable for general aviation stopovers and visits to local attractions such as the Bambouseraie park.
