IFR arrivals require mandatory handling, which is described as extremely expensive. Example: handling and landing about €420 for a single landing without overnight. Handling agents include Aviapartner, with compulsory use for IFR, and MAP Aviation, with quoted fees of about €180–€230. VFR arrivals are possible and generally straightforward if using the VFR chart with reporting points; airspace above is Class C, and clearances are typically easy to obtain. Notification for departure is required, usually via an abbreviated flight plan with the ground agent.
The main GA apron is far from the terminal; walking is not allowed between the GA apron and exit or fuel station, so OPS must be called by VHF for transport. Handling agents provide minibus transfers to the terminal, sometimes charging a small fee. Waiting times for fuel service can exceed 30 minutes. No avgas is available. Facilities include WiFi in the main terminal; met office access may be limited.
Terminal 1 and 2 are described as overpriced. Watching Airbus aircraft movements is possible from the apron. For GA coordination or information, use avia-generale@toulouse.aeroport.fr or fax +33 5 3461 8046.
Noise sensitivity requires routing via published VFR reporting points; see AIP/NOTAM for procedures. Overall suitability for non-commercial GA depends on willingness to pay high handling fees and accept procedural requirements.
