Civil Airfield Muchamiel (LEMU)

LEMU is a non-AENA, VFR-only airfield near Alicante, serving as a practical alternative for general aviation. No details are published in the Spanish AIP, but operational information and VAC charts are available on the airport’s website. Strict adherence to published circuits is expected for noise abatement, with noise-sensitive areas nearby and a requirement to keep below 1,000 AGL in some sectors. R12 is preferential for departure due to its slight downslope and prevailing wind. The runway is asphalt, 1000–1030 meters long and narrow, with some potholes filled with packed sand; parking is mainly on hard-packed sand or gravel off-tarmac. The field experiences significant helicopter and flight school activity; caution is advised around helicopters with running rotors and during busy periods.
