Landing is possible without prior response to email or phone; blind calls on arrival are common, and staff presence varies. Communication in English is limited, both on the ground and on the radio, which is air-to-air only. The runway's northeast half is smooth asphalt, while the southwest half consists of rough concrete; grass taxiways and parking are usable but can be soft or waterlogged after rain, with uneven areas and occasional stones. Parking selection requires care, especially in wet conditions. No physical gates or guards secure the apron outside operating hours.

Landing and parking fees are moderate. Example: landing plus two days' parking about €40. Avgas is available with staff assistance for refueling. A briefing room is accessible during operating hours or when training occurs.

Hotel Silesian is 10 minutes on foot from the field. Katowice city center is easily reached by Uber or taxi in about 10 minutes; a city bus stop lies 5–10 minutes' walk from the apron. A restaurant operates on site.
