Civil Airfield Fyresdal (ENFY)

Fyresdal (ENFY) offers a scenic approach over the lake Fyresvatn, with the airfield situated close to the village, supermarket, fuel station, and accommodation options all within a few minutes’ walk. The runway is 800 meters long and paved, though markings are often hard to see and weeds grow along the edges. Parking is flexible on the apron, but caution is needed due to picnic benches and occasional horse-drawn carriages near the runway. The airfield operates without PPR or a flight information officer; use frequency 122.15 for blind calls. Circuits are at 2,000 ft: right-hand for runway 19, left-hand for runway 01.

Facilities include a clubhouse with clean toilets, hot showers, kitchen, and lounge area. Camping is possible on site. Bicycles are no longer available despite website claims. The local Bed & Breakfast is popular but often fully booked; it offers pickup from the airfield by prior arrangement. Restaurants and a bistro are in town and by the lake; opening days vary.
