Noertrange Airport (ELNT)

ELNT operates only when the local parachuting club is present, with PPR required in advance via email to the club; responses typically arrive in the evening. The grass runway (26-08) is generally in good condition but relatively short, rising toward the west, and the eastern end is a forest clearing that can cause turbulence on final approach. Strong turbulence may occur on departure from runway 08, especially over the woods, and aircraft with low power may have difficulty in crosswinds. No landing fees apply. Drinks and snacks are available on site. For ultralight operations, a separate permit from the DAC is required but usually granted if documentation and flight planning are correct. The airfield is about 30 minutes on foot downhill to Wiltz; onward connections to Luxembourg City are lengthy. The airfield is not a practical alternative for visiting Luxembourg City.
