Airport Kobenhavn/Roskilde (EKRK) IFR

Roskilde (EKRK) is a well-equipped, GA-friendly airport serving as a convenient gateway to Copenhagen. Both VFR and IFR operations are straightforward, with instrument approaches available to all runways and no PPR required for GA. The airport features two intersecting runways, providing flexibility in varying wind conditions. Regular operating hours are 0700–2200 local time, with night operations possible for an extra charge. High-visibility vests are mandatory on the apron.

Self-service fuel is available: Jet A1 (Shell) and Avgas 100LL (Shell) can be paid by credit card or fuel carnet; UL91 is available from BP. A wash area with water hose is located near the fuel station. Maintenance services are present on site (DAO). Parking uses metal tie-down rings set in concrete; bring your own ropes. Hangars are primarily for jets and priced accordingly.

Fees for landing and parking are generally low for Europe. Example: landing plus one night of parking about €20; three days of parking plus one landing about €50; seven days of parking plus landing about €60. Payment is quick and can be handled at the aircraft or in the office.

Ground transport options include taxis to Roskilde train station (typically €30–€40), from which frequent trains reach Copenhagen central station in 25–35 minutes (tickets around €11–€13 per person). Direct taxi to Copenhagen costs around €100–€150. Bus service exists but is infrequent; car hire can be arranged in advance with keys delivered at the airport.

The airport team is consistently described as friendly and helpful, with efficient handling even during busy periods. Bistro opening hours are Monday–Thursday 07:30–14:00, Friday 07:30–13:30, closed weekends.
