Very friendly and efficient service, with staff proactively arranging taxis and accommodating arrivals after normal hours. The airport offers strong infrastructure, modern facilities, and a choice of on-field restaurants, which are highly regarded. A hotel is available on the airfield, with rooms themed individually. Customs can be arranged with advance notice; 12 hours PPR is required for arrivals from non-Schengen countries.

Landing fees are considered high for the Netherlands but typical for the region. Example: landing fee about €30. Avgas is available but not unleaded fuel. Maintenance services and several aviation companies operate on site. The airfield is busy, hosting a major parachute center with frequent paradrop activity—parachutists land north of the field, and operations can be intense even during weekdays; gliding also takes place on a parallel grass strip. Caution is advised regarding parachute operations and possible caravans in use for paradropping.

Instrument approaches are not available during daylight hours; only VFR arrivals are permitted then, so check AIP/NOTAM for current procedures.
