Popham Airport (EGHP)

Popham is a grass airfield with two runways. Runway 21 can be very bumpy, and runway 03/21 is only active during events, with both runways sometimes used simultaneously at fly-ins. Approaching runway 26 involves a curved approach, leaving about 700 meters of usable runway after a late turn; consult the airfield plate in advance. The grass runway quality is moderate. Parking is on a slope, and wood chocks are available near the clubhouse gate. PPR is not strictly required, but calling ahead and reviewing approach charts on the website is helpful. Example: landing fee about £10. The atmosphere is friendly.
