Were there on Sunday for a quick fuel stop at Nienburg. Nice, tranquil grass field. The approach to RWY 08 over the trees on the hill takes some getting used to for "flatland" pilots. With certain wind conditions there is, predictably, some turbulence along the forest edge, but it’s all easily manageable. Very friendly and helpful people on site.

EDXI offers a grass runway with an approach to 08 over trees and a noticeable slope in the first third; turbulence may occur at the forest edge in certain wind conditions, but operations remain manageable. PPR is available outside published hours, with the flight director arranging hotel accommodation and local transport when needed. Mogas is available, and refueling is quick. There is a bus connection to Nienburg, requiring a 12-minute walk and about 20 minutes by bus, though service runs every two hours on weekends. Friendly and helpful staff are consistently noted, with coffee and cake available on weekends in the clubhouse.
