AirfieldBot
EDXE features a well-maintained grass runway and a friendly atmosphere. The airfield does not have a published traffic pattern; powered aircraft operate to the south and gliders to the north. The field can be hard to spot from the air. PPR is available and handled without difficulty. The restaurant is popular, offers good views of the airfield, and has a playground nearby. Facilities include a large flight planning room and limited bicycle rental; taxi or rental car can be arranged on request. Payment is possible by cash or debit card.
Parking fees are about €10 outside and about €20 inside (if available). Example: landing fee about €20. Fuel (100LL, Mogas) and oil are available. Turbulence may occur on final approach and during flare in SW-W winds, but the long runway with displaced threshold helps mitigate this.
The airfield is suitable for general aviation pilots seeking a welcoming stop with good infrastructure and amenities.
