Westerstede Felde Airport (EDWX)

EDWX requires PPR for all operations. The runway and taxiways have a new surface and clear markings, with a 570 m length and hindrance-free grass overruns at each end. The airfield is well maintained, with a park-like setting and red roses along the runway. There is parachuting activity north of the field. The tower is usually staffed on weekends or during parachute operations; otherwise, an automatic message may be active, but reliability varies, so check the windsock.

The Schloss Köhlmoor restaurant is located directly at the airfield, offering high-quality gastronomy and a terrace with runway views; it is closed on Mondays. Holiday apartments are available on site. Rental bikes are available free of charge. Maintenance support and hangar space are available, with helpful staff providing assistance for technical issues. Parking is typically on grass; overnight stays may require hangar space if outdoor parking is not permitted.
