PPR is available on summer weekends. The airfield often hosts glider operations on weekends. The runway is very level and 40 meters wide, though the taxiway is somewhat uneven. There is no canteen on site. The Ringheiligtum Pömmelte, a reconstructed ancient site, lies a few hundred meters away.
