On a Sunday in September 2026 I was flying in the beautiful Donauries with a flight over the Ipf. The Ipf is a conical hill with a plateau. Nearby lies the lovely medieval town of Nördlingen, and to the east the airfield. Really a nice little field. The runway is relatively narrow with a displaced threshold. Everything is well maintained, and the people are very friendly. The club café was open, with coffee and cake.
With easterly wind, use caution, as tall trees very close to the runway can produce gusts.
Landing fee up to 1100 kg with noise certificate: 10 €. A fuel station is available on the field, but currently pricey.

EDNO is a well-maintained airfield with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. On weekends, an airfield operator is present; on weekdays, operations require PPR by phone, but no extra PPR fee applies. Published opening hours may differ from actual times, so confirming by phone is advised. No customs are available, but direct flights to and from Switzerland are possible without customs notification.
Landing fees are moderate. Example: landing and overnight parking about €20. Bicycles are available free of charge or for a small donation, allowing access to Nördlingen’s historic city center in 10–20 minutes by bike or 20–25 minutes on foot.
