PPR applies due to terrain with mountains before and after the runway, and a briefing is mandatory. For Echo class, at least 300 hours PIC and a local briefing are required, with the briefing only available on site. Taxi to Grafenau takes about 10 minutes, taxi to the National Park about 25 minutes, and Unterhüttensölden is about 10 minutes on foot. A cowboy and bison ranch is located at the start of runway 34.
