AirfieldBot
The grass runway at EDNA has been fully resurfaced and is now level, with previous undulations resolved; the southern 20-meter-wide section is complete, and the northern area currently serves as a taxiway. Three flight schools operate on site, so circuit traffic can be busy. The airfield is known for its exceptionally friendly tower staff and welcoming atmosphere.
A lakeside bathing area ("Grüne Lagune") is directly adjacent to the airfield, with free entry. The Italian restaurant on site is highly regarded; it is closed Mondays, open Tuesday to Friday from 16:00, and Saturday/Sunday from 11:00. Free loaner bicycles are available. Example: landing fee about €10.
Fuel (Superbenzin) and hangar space have been arranged without issue in the past. The nearby town of Ampfing is within walking distance. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.
