Donauwoerth Genderkingen Airport (EDMQ)

EDMQ offers a well-maintained airfield with friendly, helpful staff and a relaxed atmosphere. The Italian restaurant Chegusto on site is highly regarded for its pizza and is open on weekends and holidays, with a beer garden overlooking the runway. A courtesy car is available free of charge and can be reserved by phone, and free bicycles and an electric charging station for bikes and cars are also provided. Aerops payment is not possible, and no change is given for cash payments. Example: landing fee about €10. A briefing room with internet access is available.

Noise-sensitive areas require strict adherence to circuit procedures; avoid noise-sensitive zones and the glider field to the north as indicated on the EDMQ homepage. Parking can become limited during busy periods, especially on weekends. All fuel types are available at the airfield, including diesel directly from the pump. The airfield provides easy access to Donauwörth city and surrounding areas.

The airfield is suitable for general aviation operations, with approachable flight information services; during weekdays, unicom may be in use. Ground fog can occur in winter due to proximity to the Donau river. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.
