EDLT is a VFR-only airfield with an 850-metre hard-surface runway (10/28) in good condition and generous asphalt parking. Circuits are to the south, joining on mid-downwind; German RT is required. The field is used by powered aircraft, gliders, and parachuting, but approaches remain straightforward. No customs or immigration services are available.
Self-serve fuel (Avgas and Jet A1) is available and can be paid by card. Landing fees are generally moderate; Example: landing fee about €10. Overnight parking is possible. Payment via AEROPS is supported.
On-field facilities include a club-operated self-service café with cake, waffles, and drinks at moderate prices. A restaurant exists on the field but may have limited or irregular opening hours; a better restaurant is about 5 minutes' walk away. Bicycle hire is often available at the clubhouse, though availability can vary. Taxis to Münster cost about €40; to Telgte town about €25–30 with a journey time of 20–30 minutes. App2Drive car hire may be available.
The airfield can be difficult to spot visually from some directions; from the east, it is easier using the Münster TV tower as a reference. There is a wind turbine near the circuit for runway 10 that may be visually distracting, and turbulence can occur with strong southerly winds due to nearby woods. Runway and taxiway surfaces are well maintained, but there may be a groove on the apron requiring caution when taxiing.
EDLT offers a friendly atmosphere and is suitable for general aviation visits or training flights. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.
