Airport Paderborn/Lippstadt (EDLP) IFR

Paderborn-Lippstadt (EDLP) offers a full range of IFR procedures, including ILS, RNAV/LPV, and NDB approaches to both runway ends. Several food options exist: a self-service restaurant in the terminal, a cafeteria with sandwiches and drinks, and a pizzeria near the car park; quality varies but options are available both airside and landside.

Refuelling is efficient, typically handled by a bowser that arrives promptly; AirBP cards are accepted for fuel payment in most cases. Bringing your own chocks is advised due to limited ground equipment. Taxis can be ordered from the GAT; ground transport arrangements are straightforward.

Security procedures require passing through the GAT terminal; crew and passengers may need separate screening staff present, occasionally causing minor delays when traveling together. Access between airside and landside is clearly marked via 'C' or through the GAT building as signed.

Some pilots note faded taxiway markings and unmarked parking positions on the apron; reviewing parking charts in advance helps with ground navigation. ATC expects pilots to taxi directly to assigned stands without follow-me guidance.
