Civil Airfield Borkenberge (EDLB)

EDLB offers Avgas, Diesel, and Mogas98, with Avgas noted as among the least expensive in Germany. Fueling requires staff activation at the pump, and payment is accepted only in cash or with German EC cards; credit cards and foreign cards are not accepted. The runway is bordered by high trees on both ends, with some turbulence possible on final approach to 08 near the forest edge. The runway length is sufficient, but displaced thresholds reduce landing distance while providing adequate takeoff distance. Glider activity is significant in the southern circuit and on weekends. A restaurant/café operates on site but may close for extended periods in winter. Facilities include a pilot lounge with shower/WC and complimentary coffee near the fuel station. Accommodation options exist nearby.
