Civil Airfield Gelnhausen (EDFG)

EDFG is a well-maintained grass airfield with friendly and helpful staff. The runway and operational areas are in good condition, with regular comments on the quality of the grass surface. PPR is required, and the airfield can be busy, especially during events or in good weather, with both powered aircraft and glider/sport parachute activity. Parking is available outdoors and, with prior arrangement, in a hangar; overnight parking is possible. Camping on site is allowed but without special infrastructure.

The historic town center of Gelnhausen is 10–15 minutes away on foot and considered attractive, though open dining options at midday in winter may be limited.
