Civil Airfield Saarmund (EDCS)

EDCS operates as a PPR airfield with generally friendly and accommodating staff. The grass runway is described as improved and suitable for general aviation, though landings can be challenging due to surface undulations and unique approach profiles, especially on runway 27. Current NOTAMs may specify landing on 09 and takeoff on 27. The airfield is easy to find, located conveniently for access to Berlin and Potsdam.

A restaurant named "zur Fliegerhütte" is available on the field, offering outdoor seating. Toilets are accessible, and overnight accommodation is possible with prior inquiry. Avgas is available. Example: landing fee about €5.

There is no public transport from the airfield; a taxi ride to Berlin city center takes about 25 minutes and costs around €50. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.
