Example: landing and overnight parking about €20. Hangar space can be arranged on request. The airfield is well maintained, with a modern infrastructure and reliable fuel service. Fallschirm (parachuting) activity occurs, but does not generally restrict other operations; backtrack required on runway 24, which may be complex during busy periods.

A bus stop for line 26 is directly at the airfield, with a 10-minute ride to Gera city center; schedules should be checked in advance, especially on weekends. App2drive car hire is available at the airfield. Walking to alternative dining options (such as the Globus-Markt) takes about 10 minutes.

The on-field restaurant has been closed for an extended period, with no current evidence of reopening; previous reports mention overworked staff or closure even before 2020. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.
