The airport is accessible at all times during published hours, with minimal traffic and a long, well-maintained runway. Communication with the tower is straightforward and friendly.

Refueling is handled by helpful staff, and payment for services can be made in the fire department office or at the tower. On-field car hire is efficient: vehicles can be reserved by email (tower@leipzig-altenburg-airport.de) and are delivered directly to the aircraft; contract processing takes about two minutes.
