Refueling is handled by helpful staff, and payment for services can be made in the fire department office or at the tower. On-field car hire is efficient: vehicles can be reserved by email (tower@leipzig-altenburg-airport.de) and are delivered directly to the aircraft; contract processing takes about two minutes. The airport museum is recommended but generally open only on weekends.
Public transport access may be limited, especially on holidays; car hire is often arranged as a practical alternative. The airport is located in a remote area, so ground access may involve detours or longer travel times.
