Large cargo-focused airport with limited passenger flights and a dedicated GA apron on the south side near the airport office and terminal. Landing and take-off are charged separately, with additional fees for parking and security; minimum total charges for a short stop can be around €160, including VAT and security if handling is declined. Example: total bill about €160. Handling is not mandatory for aircraft under 3 tonnes MTOW. Advance submission of aircraft documents (registration, airworthiness, noise certificate) is required; sending these in advance simplifies payment and processing.
After parking, waiting on board for security escort is required before being driven to the terminal; self-movement on the apron without escort is not permitted. Avgas 100LL is available but requires taxiing to a separate apron, and payment may involve additional steps if not using a Total card. Customs and immigration are present; customs may check documents on arrival from the UK but not always on departure. GENDEC website functions as expected for customs notification.
Facilities include a crew room, café, and restaurant in the terminal, though food options may be limited outside normal hours. Local taxi availability can be inconsistent; car hire should be arranged in advance if needed. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.
