EBGB requires PPR, which is easily obtained, and strict adherence to defined approach and departure procedures at a maximum of 900 ft below the Brussels CTR. Noise abatement procedures are emphasized, with particular care not to disturb EBBR operations. No touch-and-go landings are allowed for visiting aircraft. The airfield is VFR only and lies within the Brussels CTR; current charts and information from the official website are recommended.
The grass runway is well maintained with generous overruns, though not perfectly level. Overnight parking is free, and parking for multiple days is possible. Facilities include a bistro/café on site and UL91 fuel; Avgas is available. Example: landing fee about €20, with an additional charge of about €10 for international arrivals from the Schengen area.
Public transport to Brussels involves a bus (line 261) from the airfield to Vilvoorde station, running about once per hour, followed by a 14-minute train ride to Brussels Central; return journeys may require extra attention due to ticketing rules and limited bus service from Vilvoorde back to the airfield. Taxis are not always available at the field; Uber to Brussels costs around €40. Car rental may be arranged through local contacts.
English is spoken at the airfield, and staff are described as friendly and helpful. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.
