Zilina Airport (LZZI)

IFR and VFR operations are possible, with ILS 06 available and standard ICAO procedures in use. The airport is surrounded by hills on three sides, requiring careful approach planning, especially under IMC; double-check turn directions and consider a copilot for added safety. Radar coverage is not available for approaches. English is spoken without issue.

Avgas is not directly available on the field but can sometimes be arranged through a local flight school or entrepreneur, typically paid in cash; availability varies. Jet A1 is only provided with an AOC. No on-field restaurant is present, and there is no dedicated briefing room, but free WLAN is available in the terminal.

Parking incurs a daily fee. Example: parking about €20 per day. Handling fees apply. Example: handling about €10. Landing fees are charged. Example: landing about €30. Passenger fees are charged per person. Example: passenger fee about €20 per person. Total charges for a typical visit can be higher depending on services used.

A second pilot as crew is not accepted unless the aircraft requires two crew members by design. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.
