International Airport Piestany (LZPP) IFR

LZPP is a quiet regional airport with low traffic and generally smooth operations. Direct approaches are possible, and staff speak good English and are helpful. IFR procedures, including ILS, are available. The airport is closed on weekends; opening on request before Friday noon is possible but incurs a minimum surcharge of €300. Example: handling about €50, landing about €30, parking per day about €20. Handling is obligatory. Fees are calculated per tonne for landing and parking in some cases.

No avgas is available. Jet A1 is offered. There is no on-field restaurant or drinks vending machine, but the town center can be reached in about 30 minutes on foot or by taxi. An aviation museum with historic aircraft is located nearby.
