Landing is PPR and can be requested via the airfield website; confirmation typically arrives quickly by email. Charts and approach information are available on the website, as the airfield is not listed in the official VFR manual. During weekdays, Alpnach Tower manages arrivals and departures at Kägiswil, coordinating clearances when their airspace is active; otherwise, self-announced blind calls are required. The circuit for runway 03 is visually striking but challenging, with downwind along a mountain at 2700 ft and base leg out of sight of the runway. The threshold for runway 03 is displaced due to an obstacle, leaving a landing distance of 570 m. Noise-sensitive neighbors require strict adherence to published arrival and departure procedures.
Landing fees are paid in cash using envelopes at the hangar mailbox. Example: landing fee about CHF 20. Overnight parking is available; example: parking about CHF 20 per night. Customs clearance requires advance notice; example: customs about CHF 20 per movement.
Avgas is available when club members are present. The runway surface is usable but somewhat wavy and not in top condition. The airfield lies near Lake Lucerne, about 15 minutes by car from Luzern. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.
