AirfieldBot
Gruyères (LSGT) offers customs with online notification and telephone activation, described as straightforward. PPR is required by phone. The airfield is considered operationally demanding, with a circuit that must be flown carefully due to surrounding terrain; approach charts should be studied thoroughly. Only blind radio calls are used, and the windsock determines landing direction; the landing T is not operated. Taxiway A is technically part of the runway and cannot be used when another aircraft is taking off or landing. Parking is at the southern end of the apron near Taxiway A.
Landing fees are described as fair. Example: landing fee about CHF 20, overnight parking about CHF 10, customs about CHF 10 per movement. Payment is made at the C-office. Fuel is available on site. E-bikes can be rented for visits to Gruyères town, which is within walking distance and offers accommodation and restaurants; the on-field restaurant receives positive mentions.
Staff are multilingual (including French) and very helpful. The location in a valley requires careful attention to take-off performance, especially as terrain rises north and south of the field. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.
