AirfieldBot
Landing and three nights’ parking cost about €60. The airport is quiet, mainly serving as an alternate for Madeira, with friendly but sometimes bureaucratic staff. Aircraft and crew documents are requested in advance, often by email; the official AIP email address may not work, so use opaeropsanto@ana.pt for prior notification. No Avgas is available; only Jet A1 is offered, and fuel can only be obtained with a fuel release from a broker such as WorldFuel—cash or card payments are not accepted. No handling is required. The airport is close to a 9 km sand beach, and scheduled flights to Funchal operate twice daily.
