Civil Airfield Grosseto (LIRS)

Private flights under 3 t MTOW are not permitted. PPR is required, and operations are limited to aircraft over 3 t. The airport is civil operated; contact by phone is necessary, as emails are ineffective. English-speaking staff are available. Military approach control handles arrivals, and full published procedures must be flown even when traffic is light; expect possible changes to runway assignment based on wind.
