Civil Airfield Arezzo (LIQB)

Arezzo (LIQB) requires PPR, typically arranged by email or phone a few days in advance, with confirmation usually prompt and friendly. The asphalt runway measures 660 m and is generally suitable for typical non-commercial GA operations, though frequent crosswinds from the north are common. A firefighter must be present for both arrival and departure; advance notice is necessary to ensure access, as the airfield may be locked when unattended.

Landing and overnight fees vary: Example: landing and overnight about €35. Another example: landing and parking for 3.5 days about €150. Fuel is generally unavailable except for club aircraft; avgas may sometimes be informally arranged but should not be relied upon. Hangar space can be available by arrangement, sometimes with security features.

A car rental office (LEASYS RENT AREZZO) is located about 900 m from the airfield, with club members occasionally offering rides there. Taxis can be arranged on request; a taxi to Arezzo costs around €25–30, and the city center is approximately 3 km away, walkable if needed. The airfield has parachuting activity and a small bar on site. Flight plans must be closed with Firenze Approach either in the air or by phone on the ground. IFR arrivals require cancellation at FL100, with pickup also at FL100 due to surrounding terrain. Procedures vary; see AIP/NOTAM.
